there are, apparently, not enough heath bars in the world to make me want to start hand sewing tonight. What to do…
Things seen on the way home
As I came up the hill out of Schodack, I started seeing the tops of trees that looked… autumnal. Stress, I thought. Wow, big chunks of very stressed trees. Majorly stressed. Many trees. Funny how they’re stressed at the tops. All kinds of trees.
Hill after hill, tree after tree of the most spectacular sunset hitting the trees and skipping over the hills. In the far distance an almost vertical slice of rainbow. Behind me a complete sky of glowing amazing sunset. Ahead of me, a world of polarized light and equally amazing light show.
And as I came to the bottom of Bunker Hill on the Nassau side, a group of maybe eight deer, one of them crouched down taking a crap.

I’m a writer because I’m not a composer. That’s what I’d really love to be — a composer of long, complex symphonies and operas! To produce the wordless power of music, to move people in that way, has always seemed to me the highest artistic goal. I’m stuck with being better at words.”

Thursday
Very early day at work, so i could learn more about the new OS, aka Mountain Lion. The cats seemed puzzled – why are you hurrying around, lady? why are you leaving us? – but I know they’ll be snoozing again before the car’s out the driveway.
Catching up on class forums and all while eating my lunch. My fellow students are SOOOOO serious about grades.
And here, just to prove I don’t eat tuna every day for lunch.
And that’s not an egg, it’s a fingerling potato. I’d already eaten the other one.
