As I came up the hill out of Schodack, I started seeing the tops of trees that looked… autumnal. Stress, I thought. Wow, big chunks of very stressed trees. Majorly stressed. Many trees. Funny how they’re stressed at the tops. All kinds of trees.
Hill after hill, tree after tree of the most spectacular sunset hitting the trees and skipping over the hills. In the far distance an almost vertical slice of rainbow. Behind me a complete sky of glowing amazing sunset. Ahead of me, a world of polarized light and equally amazing light show.
And as I came to the bottom of Bunker Hill on the Nassau side, a group of maybe eight deer, one of them crouched down taking a crap.
