Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows

I went to see the final Harry Potter film last night at the Crandell Theater in downtown Chatham last night. It was surprising to see a line in small-town Chatham at 10:30ish, many of them being kids in their mid-teens along with a mix of parents and other “grown ups” like me. The theater opened its doors at 11 and in we went, having our five dollar tickets torn in half on the way.

I really enjoyed the movie and would like to see it again. The effects were great, the story line compelling. They wasted no time at all with a lead in from the first half (which was one of my questions going in – shorter film that needs to connect to the first half of the story.)

I walked away wishing I could study all the heroic tales in the world, all those stories of people who went places and did things against all odds; the stories that are told and retold to give us hope and strength in the every day.

Thank you J.K. Rowling.

If you haven’t already seen it, you should watch “The Fall” (2006). It fits the bill as you’ve described heroics.
