NaPoWriMo 2025 Day 4

It happens from time to time that a poem written, even during NaPoWriMo, is a little too -something- to share publicly. That was Day 3.

Day 4, I saw a prompt to write about the art we live with or that we see everywhere we go. That was a welcome look away from the rest of the day.

looking around
there hangs my latest painting
waiting for the next

over on that wall
a plein air watercolor
of my own backyard

Under it, last week’s
still life of three garlic bulbs
sprouting on a plate.

This was from yesterday:

looking at a sky
no different yesterday
arching over all

vertical format photo looking up at the sky. A tree intrudes at left. Two contrails in center parallel three wires running vertically along right edge.

Obligatory Daffodil photos:

Photo: garden full of blooming yellow daffodils.

Photo at my new house, two daffodils blooming in the yard, planted by previous owner probably, to cheer me up from leaving an old mature garden of daffodils.
