NaPoWriMo 2025 Day 2

I spent the day trying to get ready for a day trip on Saturday and thinking about the world. Long ago I did a lot of calligraphy and now and then that skill comes back to help me. Plus, having a lot of art supplies means all I ran out of was some packing tape LOL. More to come on my day trip.

I also took some left over meat and made a mighty fine soup. Like those art supplies are handy, so is a handy supply of onions, garlic, carrots and onions plus some bits of this and that and hmmm maybe some of this. It all simmered until the potatoes were cooked and then it leapt from the bowl to my mouth!

a quart and a half-gallon mason jar full of soup sit side by side on the stove, cooling. Bits of carrots and potatoes and other veg are visible through the glass. The jars are capped.

Photo of dinner: blue and white soup bowl full of beef vegetable soup with lots of carrots and potatoes. A spoon handle protrudes from bowl at five o'clock. Above right of the bowl is a visible a glass with some ice cubes and a dark beverage. Below that to the right is a white plate holding some toasted bread, some buttered.

went out in the rain
my hair already wet
my body thirsty

dumped out coffee grounds
how caffeinated the worms
in the bare side garden?

going out in the rain
this garden now mine to plant
for other springs
