Why I like the quilting and #3

I love to admire the unquilted top. I won’t lie. I’m often enamored by the flatness of the top. I put off quilting it because it’s hard to let go of the flatness, but in the end, the quilting wins out. Why? Because I love what the quilting does to it more than I love the flatness.

While the quilting is going on, I get to enjoy the difference between the non-quilted areas and the quilted areas.

Earth-moving day

Some people in our area felt the earth move today because of a 5.8 earthquake in Virginia. Heard from my niece Kate that she and her husband, who live down there, are fine. Here is was a bit of ground wave motion and overhead lights moving. It’s always something eh?
