I confess that I can be a compulsive counter: squares, blocks, silverware, you name it. OK, little heath bars. There I’ve said it. It was certainly one of the pleasures of NaNoWriMo that it was designed to fulfill my word-counting interest. Cut and paste your total output of words and voila! A nice shiny new word count total and even bar charts to go with it.
So imagine my pleasure to discover a Word Press plug in that does the same sort of thing. It’s appropriately WP Word Count. It did give me the ability to put a not-so-pretty word count in the sidebar over there, but here’s the view I have from my WP dashboard. ooooooh aaaaaaah!
so a little rough calculating says I probably need about 300-400 brown squares stuck up on the wall. I’m not sure how many are there on my table ready to go but I think I’ll go rummage a bit more. I added about four more to the mix tonight.
I did stick a few up there and mainly I sipped a lot of iced tea. So sue me, LOL.
In other news, leaving the mailbox door open for two days resulted in the very active nest of little brown ants taking their business elsewhere. Bye bye!
