Saturday
The other night I woke up after having a dream involving birds. There were two birds: one not so memorable and the other more so. The memorable one was some sort of raptor, bluish grey with “ears”, not overly large. Someone in the dream kept calling out birds it might be, and I was like, no, see it’s sort of blue, no not bluebird, no not bluejay, more like a peregrine falcon but look at the ears… I’m not sure what all that was about but I’m still wondering what sort of bird it was LOL.
Like waiting for paint to dry
One must have a good dab of patience to watercolor lest ye end up with a big pool of mud-colored paint on a soggy sheet, as it turns out. So I guess it’s dinner time while waiting for these guys to dry:
Thanks Superman, art supply category
The list of supplies for this online watercolor class included a kid’s board book. Of course, if I had some of those around, I’d have them for a reason and it would be unlikely I’d be willing to paint or goop them up with anything. So I did what normal people would do – I went to the dollar store.
At first I didn’t see anything remotely book-like, but as I started again at the point I’d begun – there indeed was one stack of one title of board book. A little bigger than I was expecting; a much different title than I was expecting. For a dollar each, I got five, you betcha.
Got religion? faith? belief?
From the quote box:
If you have a particular faith or religion, that is good. But you can survive without it. – Dalai Lama
Seemed like the perfect quote for the week.
