Harry Potter is all about confronting fears, finding inner strength, and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend

Snow on March Nineteenth
winter view obscured
the still air filled with snow flakes
pale grey, sketched outline.
the wind woke me up
reminding me of winter
the mid-March surprise.
inner world quiets
as the outer world whitens
weatherman’s forecast.

Snowy Monday night
Geeking out – making bootable flash drive with 10.8 and caught the beginning of neverwhere part one. doesn’t get much better, although… good job on a snowy night.
I will look over this week’s info for the Flower Crazy class. I did get a piece of 1/4″ plywood cut up into small pieces. Bigger than the 8×10″ suggested. It was a two by four foot piece and I decided to get it cut up into 12 x 12″ pieces. You can always recut but you can’t make them bigger. So I’ll read about what I have to do next.
It’s snowy and the hours will tell what amount we get but I have enough to amuse myself until I have to go out tomorrow and face the roads.
Meanwhile, no news about the winners list. It’s seriously not that I’m expecting to be on it. However there is one quilt show that I won’t be re-entering because they couldn’t bother to notify me that I hadn’t been accepted. Seriously? You couldn’t spare me a polite email thanking me for my interest and entry fees…? That’s just rude.

Today’s silliness
Feel so silly waiting for “winners” announcement… But what can you do?

Process
I’m sitting here wishing that each section of the watercolor class was a couple weeks long rather than one. A week is a decent amount of time to do a new technique once or twice but then I’d like a week to just do something else with it. Or maybe if the whole thing was in a week… no that would be too cram-packed-with-goodness… Anyway I’m sitting here wishing it was the beginning of the next week’s lessons while simultaneously wishing I had more than enough time to have done a whole lot more practicing and fooling around.
That’s one thing.
Then I saw this, and even given my fascination with writers in general, I just love the little inspirational noodge each one of these videos comes loaded with.
At work today I had two back to back encounters with folks that were handled with an interpreter. The first language was so rolling, so round sounding that when we were all done I asked what language it was. I had no idea. The answer was Farsi. Really beautiful sounding.
The next group also spoke something unidentifiable and when I asked my question at the end, I didn’t recognize what the answer was so I can’t even report on it.
Took the scenic route home and enjoyed it all.
