I spent some time this morning chatting with BlueHost tech support about transferring one of my scattered domains to them. This is a big masterplan to consolidate all my domains to one place where they’re actually hosted. Whooo. They don’t call me queenofallmydomains.com for nothin’ folks.

Anyway the person was great in chat, quick and easy answer. The situation here was a little more complex and I didn’t want to mess up the order of the process and complicate the move unnecessarily. Confirmed the info and it’s all in the works.

Time for another cuppa coffee and then on to something that looks more productive.

A Hungry-ish Saturday

I needed something to help me get back on the Bring-My-Lunch train, so I went grocery shopping. I did pretty well, nothing too extravagant (maybe some Hermit cookies mysteriously fell into the basket…). I wanted to make red sauce and Bolognese sauce to have on hand in the freezer too.

Anyway, there were these which didn’t come home with me (a butternut did)

Came home and shredded all the left over cheddar from New Year’s Day and made Mac and Cheese straight out of Craig Claiborne’s Kitchen Primer, circa 1969. Delish.

Some of that and some of the exquisitely blanched green beans were my dinner tonight. Yummy! The red sauce is done and the Bolognese can wait til tomorrow.

Wishes for the New Year

Dusting Off for the New Year Ahead

While twiddling around looking for the cause of a different problem altogether, I started to think that it was probably time for a little updating on this blog. Nothing serious, just a little sprucing up. I’ve been pretty pleased with how it all works, but I’ve cobbled together the wordpress theme that does things behind the scenes but the code behind things has changed, the underpinnings of WordPress are always being updated and well you know I’ve probably changed some too.

All this is to tell you that I’ll be fiddling around with things here. This is the start, but may get tweaked some over the next few weeks. It was a pleasant bit of time over the past few days to look into new themes (the structure that you see) and look into how they can be altered. I love the wordpress community and how they answer questions and make things possible.

Let me know if you encounter any weirdnesses and we’ll go sailing into the new year together!

Ready for The New Year, Kitty Dept.

Went around and gathered up as many hidden kitty toys as I could today and threw them in with a load of wash, safe inside a little “delicates” bag. Now that they’re clean they’ll go back into the big jar o’catnip for refreshing and gradually they’ll take over the house again.
