I needed something to help me get back on the Bring-My-Lunch train, so I went grocery shopping. I did pretty well, nothing too extravagant (maybe some Hermit cookies mysteriously fell into the basket…). I wanted to make red sauce and Bolognese sauce to have on hand in the freezer too.
Anyway, there were these which didn’t come home with me (a butternut did)
Came home and shredded all the left over cheddar from New Year’s Day and made Mac and Cheese straight out of Craig Claiborne’s Kitchen Primer, circa 1969. Delish.
Some of that and some of the exquisitely blanched green beans were my dinner tonight. Yummy! The red sauce is done and the Bolognese can wait til tomorrow.
