What the Wind Left Us
In spring the tent worms
Gnawed the leaves to nubs
And left the brown woods
Fringed in green. The summer’s record highs
Between crushing rains bent us
All down and swept away the rest.So when fall came round, there wasn’t
Much hope of familiar peak.
No need to pack a day-trip lunch
Yesterday’s rain was blinding,
Driven by a mean push of wind. What the wind left us:
The hills bound up with twigs
Wearing an old wool shirt
Found hung behind a door.
The Berkshires show me Fall. Not perhaps like Louis’ glory
But more the glow
Of a slim gold ring
On a well-worn hand.
Grey October day

It’s nice and clean, but the text type is too small. And I miss the quote of the day. But, if you go this route I will still read it.
not to fear – step one – get the components in the right place, then set the type sizes, types etc. Since my goal is to get the blog page to be similar feeling to the old site, it should have both the small web cam image and the quote box.
Very nice! I love WordPress, except now that I’m trying to migrate to another server. I’m having a devil of a time uploading the MySql database. Argh.
p.s. I’m getting back into various fiber arts, like knitting, crochet, etc. If you have any good links, pass ’em on!
No problems kiddos! And I’m waving furiously at Lavonne – long time no hear…
As you can see, I am continuing to tinker with the behind the scenes stuff. Everything’s a little larger and webcam and quotes are back. I need to clean up some of the sizes still and settle on a font style. And then and then….
