They drive around so fast
They see the trees whiz by
They miss us completely.
If we could show you
this garden by the road
you’d know how grand the world
and how we tend it
If you’d just walk this way.

When the spring comes
so much to do, so much to do
you clean your house
and I clean mine.
I shake out the lilies
and brush out the grass.
I roll back the pinecones,
stir up the ground,
sprinkle some seeds
and wait for the rain.
