Today
Boss: so now that you got that project done, do you take a break? You know like a rest?
Me: um, no?

I have miles of hand-sewing facings down but I’ll probably look to see how the calendar works out between notification and ship dates for the two pieces.
I have to say that while I was quilting primordial I just didn’t like it as much as 36, which was hanging kitty-corner in the room. This made me a little sad since I loved the concept and the squares and the top. Normally I just love looking at the quilting progress but many nights I just left it on the table.
It looked ok when I hung it up on the wall etc for photos. Black quilts. Photos. Ick.
Anyway last night was tax night and then poetry writing then martini night. I got home after a later shift and got to it, in that order. When I went into the sewing room for poetry and martini, there was primordial hanging and darn if it didn’t look great.
So taxes done, poetry #15 done, I sat and took some sips and admired. And thought about all the little stacks of squares waiting to be sewn together.
Rest… No.
Great job. Both quilts are beautiful.
Rest up and than on to another challenge. Poetry is fun too.
LOL well Mom, I started thinking about those stacks of squares that I’d taken off the wall to put up 36, about two or three days before Primordial was done.
