National Poetry Month Still Day #5

Since last night’s response was instantaneous, how about some bonus haiku today?

First, from last night

Martini was good
My head falls back suddenly
Olives were tasty

– – – – – – – – – –

Not a new lesson
Drinks drunk too quickly hit hard
Rehydrate today

And then these from today:

Three Haiku for a Cold April Day

Sitting in the car
listening to the rain drops
outside my own house.

– – – – – – – – – –

The sound remembers
Summer camp, welcome rain days
A reason to nap.

– – – – – – – – – –

The not-quite frozen
Drops jelly-like, oozing down
The colder windshield.

I like the Haikus. I did the same for the 5th as well. It is a long month and you need to have some short ones as well.

Well, I was feeling a little guilty because I was online when the day 5 prompt came up and I just did it. Later on, I still had some haikus in me. Thanks for checking out my site!
