the final push for 36

I went to bed last night when I forgot that all four sides of the facings pretty much have to go on at the same time. No big deal to nick out a bit of stitching and put the remaining two sides on, but I took it as a sign to give up for the night. So today I sewed the remaining two sides down, did that tricky bit of sewing the facing to the seam allowance all the way around (same as you would for clothing – so the edge rolls toward the facing side. Then a whole lot of pressing and de-linting etc and finally some photographs.

Who knows if this will actually get in, but I’m calling it good. I would really laugh if the second piece I submitted: Summer Seen From September, 2001 got in instead LOL.

I like how it turned out – I think the ring of words is just there enough. And just mysterious enough to still make people wonder what it’s all about.

I better order some thread tonight! Not much black left believe it or not.
