The game plan right now is to have the quilt out the door and en route to Ohio on Monday. After I had started filling out the paperwork last night I realized that they are word docs so I am going to do them on the computer and print and sign as needed. Label printed and about to get attached (this time without the little schmear of something that stuck itself to the back of it), then a final going over and paperwork filling out and it’s good to go.
Still no phone call re sewing machine coming back from service. When I called today to see if they meant thursday like today I was told a) that they couldn’t find it and b) that I should have told them that it was being delivered to a local store, so that’s probably where it is – on a truck for delivery…
OK hon. I could have given you the all important claim check number* from the start but you only asked for my name and what kind of machine. And, I really didn’t need to get chewed out by you after you leaving me on the phone wondering what you’d done with my machine. And, I was told you’d call as soon as it was ready and I still haven’t heard.
There was an extreme amount of really heavily sarcastic stuff coming out of my mouth at the end (it did keep me from saying what I really wanted to). Stuff like: I want to thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to check on that for me. THANK YOU so much for looking into that. Again, I thank you SO MUCH for doing that. I know it was sarcasm that was extremely wasted. But it did keep me just a hair over the civilized language line lol.
* for future reference this is not the number on the actual tag attached to the sewing machine but rather a small number on the **COMPUTER GENERATED SLIP** that they give you. Noted.
did they find it?
