It wasn’t much more than a few splatters either – enough that I’d wake up a bit and wonder if it was raining but by the time I’d really come to it had stopped. The roof didn’t look wet, the sun was shining. Sleep and then more rain-like sounds.
It was raining though, in little sploshes. By the time I hit the front porch to go to work, the sun was out again but the sky was full of dark and fast-moving clouds.
Which brings me to my thought – that just a little rain brings about a big change in how things look.
Like with most things, adding some darkness brings out the color and light and makes the whole thing more interesting, less flat. Dark roads, dark ground, darker leaves. Popped greens, brilliant skies, bigger range of colors, zingy accents. Look for it!
