Saturday lunch haiku

I squeaked out a few haiku today at the end of lunch. Tomorrow, pleine air watercolor class at the Clark in Williamstown. The first haiku is in honor of today’s National Mojito Day.

cold slides down the glass
and puddles on the table
July Saturday

Tomorrow, sunblock
will battle to keep me pale
while I paint outside.

The answer it seems
let go of all that doesn’t
keep just that which does.
