There’s no A to Z Challenge today because we get Sundays off to make 26 letters match up with 30 April days. But there were just too many good phrases going on here so here is the “official” NaPoWriMo entry retold in haiku, which seems better to me.
the end of winter
a single yellow crocus
in the warm sunlightthe end of winter
purple crocuses clumping
at the lawn’s brown edgethe end of winter
the cats finding their own sun
each at a windowthe end of winter
the end of cold, ice, snow
for another year.
Yes I love it. OPoem and flowser what is not to love.
