Chasing Rainbows Home

rainbows overhead
straightened light across the road
is distracting me

straightened light at dusk
illuminating hillsides
slicing wet greenness

straightened light cutting
hilltops touched with afternoon
road black green shining

chasing rainbows home
hills touched with afternoon glow
roads polished, gleaming

chasing rainbows home
hills softened, pinkly glowing
bright green of wet roads.
