Somewhere in #22

I had hoped to be remembering how to do a faced edge by now but i’m doing ok on the quilting side. It’s going. By the time I get home I am hungry, tired and more than a bit frazzled, even after some enforced silence and pondering about next-quilt-stuff. What can I say – I have to kill some orcs. My little hunter is benefitting from this but my quilting is suffering a bit. Oh well. Whatever it takes to keep body and soul together, as they say.

Meanwhile I’m trying to get a toe hold on my copy of Concerning the Spiritual in Art by Wassily Kandinsky and wondering how to make all that work. I don’t think Wassily had any orcs or technology to contend with. Maybe the post-impressionist period was a bit simpler (not on the art front itself certainly). Perhaps he had the same good intentions to read a few pages before sleep as I have – maybe he even managed a few. LOL it’s not working out so well for me.

Tonight I’m going to try harder to quilt first and kill orcs later.

That time in the process

When the tired quilting mind ponders things like “what the heck title am i going to give this thing??? – if in fact i ever finish it.

It’s definitely part of the process: it helps push out all the “what was I thinking, doing this thing?”

New grist for the mill – how to critique

I thought this was an interesting starting place for how to critique something you’re looking at. Thanks to Christine for hooking me up with her school’s Facebook! Lots of interesting stuff posted.

Downhill from here. Had hoped to be a little further along but I’ll take it. The end is in sight.
