The familiar pot
used often, fitted with tea
it sits hot, fragrant
Happy Father’s Day!
Happy Father’s Day to everyone out there being fathers and especially to my own Dad who’s the best! Hope you’re having a great day and are enjoying what’s here is a very nice day.
Love you Dad!
Things you just have to run with
or maybe I should have run from?
Two guys at work were commenting about ways to keep people from moving one’s stuff. One says, “Boogers on Everything!” There was some laughing but then the other said “please can we start a band/rap group?!” with that as a name.
I, always on the lookout for über-cool phrases, got out my iPhone and wrote down “Boogers on Everything” and allowed that I could work that into a haiku or two. So without further ado:
Things we can’t stomach:
Eeew! Boogers on Everything
Zombies marking turf.
crumbs and bottle caps
slime. Boogers on Everything.
ketchup on walls.
toe nails and fingers,
hair, boogers on everything
small pool of old blood.
small bite marks and gnaws.
boogers on everything near.
slime on all the rest.
what shall we do then?
fresh boogers on everything
not already dead.
(There are probably more of them lurking in there but I’m going to show some restraint. You can thank me later.)
D’oh moment
Last couple nights I’ve been nodding off over the sewing machine and not completely understanding why.
Last night I finally said “ok, I give up already, I’m going to bed.”
Shut down everything and opened up the sewing room door and… it was like 25° cooler out there. Someone forgot to open the back sewing room window (and put in the fan).
First thing on the agenda at home tonight – problem solved. The end. D’oh.
Good Golly Miss Molly
Wasn’t it nice of Little Miss Molly to grace the catcam this morning?
