Yeah. Today’s mail plus a dark blue off-camera. It was called “your highness”. Who could resist? Not me!
Oh Aldebaran! Oh APOD!
Being home sick these days, isn’t so much about flipping idly through magazines while sipping tea or ginger ale. The tea and ginger ale remain the same, but these days most of us probably randomly browse the web, a much larger magazine of sorts. One of my choicest bits of eye candy for many years is The Astronomy Pic of the Day, APOD to those who know. So today’s APOD featured a line up of astronomical phenoms – not so uncommon for them.
Made me wonder about that Aldebaran which led me to another haikupedia entry:
Aldebaran waits
just far enough away from
the seven sisters.
But then, fortuitously, I clicked backwards for yesterday’s APOD
and was rewarded with this:
Pretty much guaranteed to make you feel better. [Would make me feel even better when we get to the point of not needing to blur out any one’s faces.]
Sick Day #haiku
While home being sick
sleep is always an option
at work not so much
early this morning
weighed the options: go or not
couldn’t stop sneezing.
Once the call is made
take more medicine, water,
find pillow, to sleep.
Guilt, continued #haiku
oh the guiltiness
of sneaking the macaroons
into my work room.
Passing quietly,
he sniffs a bit of almond
“I smell macaroons.”
Guilt City
Wow, the guiltiness of it all. I snuck macaroons into my sewing room so I can eat a few in peace. The absurdity of it makes me laugh but a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. This girl doesn’t share her macaroons easily.
