How do I know?
Why because I’m a few square inches into quilting something that will take many bobbins, starting with a semi-fluorescent yellow-green thread. So if you haven’t reset your bobbin counter from last time, please do so now. Bobbin #1 is underway.
Well, that and because it’s like ninety degrees today.

Friday the thirteenth
Not so scary after all

Last night I tried doing a mock up by just drawing out a grid of squares on plain fabric but it didn’t quite answer my question so I found some of the (few) left over squares, trimmed them up and sewed twelve of them together and quilted those. That of course was a better test of color and design. Went to bed with only the yellow vs green thread question LOL. Did take the choices of new thread down to three.
I think I’m about ready to start quilting but there are a couple IRL things I really need to do first so I guess I’ll swing out and do them and then come back and start in. Being sick sort of kicked my plan of what I was going to do this week.
I managed to potter along tolerably well in the morning, sitting in the sun and sketching the old buildings… but in the afternoon, sitting in the shade… with stiff fingers and chilled bones… the water froze in little cakes all over the picture.
