This book, A Flight of Butterflies, is a facsimile of a book originally published in 1904. The original was printed on one piece of paper. This one seems to be joined at the page edges but opens accordion-fashion as the original did.

This was my comment left in response to the NYTimes article about the Oak Creek Shooting yesterday. Please let your elected officials know that gun control legislation must be addressed and quickly.

I feel strongly that it is more of a “you’re not like me” issue than being focused on a particular religion.

I don’t want anyone to be singled out and targeted for harassment or death because they are immigrants, speak with an accent, dress differently, worship differently, etc. Continue reading →

Having stayed up a bit later than planned to watch the mars landing, I’m now in search of serious coffee. I did check “get Poe Book out of attic” off my to do list and despite what the cats are saying, I did feed them. I’m not sure what their problem is exactly. Continue reading →

It was great watching the final approach and landing of the new Mars Rover Curiosity. So many happy workers at JPL seeing their long project successful, tears and laughter and relief. Then, as Naomi said, they all sat back down and got back to work. I guess tomorrow I’ll finish reading The Martian Chronicles. Thought a lot about Ray Bradbury tonight.
