Plan for today now with #haiku!

Today:

  • Grocery-shopping and melon-buying.
  • Haiku-ing
  • Audio-book-listening
  • coffee-drinking
  • hand-sewing
  • Poe-reading
  • serious-drinking?

No, not til hand-sewing is done!

grocery shopping
to keep me on lunchtime path
of mid-day feasting.

Right now, cantaloupes
tomatoes, sweet corn, melons.
eat, or miss summer.

Dinner guest

Bristly face, big-eyed,
tip of his tongue on his lips
thinking of last snack.

For a goat, he thinks
big thoughts about crunchy things
and sweet beds of hay.

We were all big kids
visiting the goat in front
of the town diner.

His eyes alien
pupils tilted the wrong way
nervous and knowing.

He didn’t frighten us
he sniffed the vanilla twist
but wanted just cone.

At Thom’s Diner. Dinner was especially exciting this evening.

Some people

favor squirrels and all but other people stumble on Pearlies frequently enough that it’s no coincidence but rather a sign of destiny. Thank you Sandy for sharing this little video. You might want to mute the sound a bit and just enjoy the subtitles but be awake at 1:54!!!
