Is it real or…?

Is life real or not?
(Simulation argument)
Maybe illusion?

All the big thinkers
Wondered what’s real or isn’t…
the envelope, please?

think fantasical
because things aren’t what they seem
so they’re something else.

It’s later than you think

Pale Palette

Well, later than the clock inside says, damn daylight savings time.

Be that as it may, I needs be off to do some food-gathering and just to be outside a bit. I sent off my last three haiku to the @nypl contest, having realized too late that they didn’t mean submit THREE short poems but that you could submit three short poems A DAY. But then again one paragraph did seem to indicate that @NYPL should be included in each poem and that just can’t be so. Right?

Right?

OK, then. Out of my hands anyway.

I’m outta here and I will figure out what time it is somewhere else.

Notebook and Journal-keeping

I think we are well advised to keep on nodding terms with the people we used to be, whether we find them attractive company or not. Otherwise they turn up unannounced and surprise us, come hammering on the mind’s door at 4 a.m. of a bad night and demand to know who deserted them, who betrayed them, who is going to make amends. We forget all too soon the things we thought we could never forget. We forget the loves and the betrayals alike, forget what we whispered and what we screamed, forget who we were. – Joan Didion
