Day 19 — NaPoWriMo

Those two magical lines
perfect, perfectly formed
exquisite image, exact words
Those two magical lines
that appeared in the dark
just as the pillows softened
and the blankets warmed
and my soul relaxed.
Two lines made my heart jump up
but I didn’t
and this morning when I did
those two magical lines
were gone
but for the memory
of their perfection.

P — NaPoWriMo

the ubiquitous triad
All you need to know.

Pickled cucumbers
may be half sour, sweet gherkin,
or bread and butter.

“I’m in a pickle”
means something different than
cured in vinegar.

“He’s pickled” might mean
Pee, Puke or Poop is likely
and without warning.

*The three P’s are what I refer to as the holy triad of cat ownership. Just sayin’
