Had some (unphotographed) cauliflower tonight for dinner but still waiting their turn are these little honeys.
Stopped at The Barn at Kristy’s Barn and got Fortune apples, explained to me as a northern spy cross. I found this description on the web
A spritely apple with a slightly spicy flavor. It’s a cross between a Red Spy and Empire apple, and was created at Cornell University.
It is nice and crunchy and sweet enough so I’m giving it a thumbs up. Left to right: fortune, gala, lemon.

Fed me, fed the cats (them first) and then refilled the feeders outside. Moved a small christmas cactus and its resident spider from the garden to the porch to remind me to take it inside before frost.
There lies more faith in honest doubt, believe me, than in half the creeds.
