New Apple

Stopped at The Barn at Kristy’s Barn and got Fortune apples, explained to me as a northern spy cross. I found this description on the web

A spritely apple with a slightly spicy flavor. It’s a cross between a Red Spy and Empire apple, and was created at Cornell University.

It is nice and crunchy and sweet enough so I’m giving it a thumbs up. Left to right: fortune, gala, lemon.

    Nice reading the write up on these apples
    besides being pretty to draw they are good to eat.
    How about how delish they are to eat.

    “Fortune” apples sound good. I’ll keep an eye out, but I doubt we’ll see the here yet.
