Day Off Goodness

Got up, not too early (that’s always good) and had a quick breakfast at Thom’s in Nassau with the usual bunch. Then it was off to try and get a few christmas shopping things done. I had two non-mall places in mind to go and then thought I might go to Colonie Center.

At the last minute I turned north and went to choice two of the non-mall places. What a fortuitous choice! Went in to get one thing and they blew me away with fun, nice things. The staff was helpful and around. I had a hand full of tiny things and asked one if I could bring them to the counter while I looked around some more. “I’ll bring them up there for you.” Wow. Wandered around some more, went up to the counter with a few more things. “Would it be all right if I started wrapping these up for you?” Sure.

Go back to looking around. Can hardly resist buying a few things but decided that really, it was only me who would have liked them. But resist I did. I did not come home with the hedgehog knitted cap. I know… unbelievable.

I left with two hefty bags of stuff and some incredibly exciting things! Woot! I decided to drive past Starbucks and the cool Tea place in Latham and went to a surprise choice C. I know! And they had what I hoped they would and I had a good time. For kicks I went to a non-mall big store and picked up something close to the one original idea I’d had. Big bag. Little bag. Car trunk full.

Starbucks. Came home and looked everything over and that was all.

Put the down comforter into the duvet (the hard part) and wrestled it all onto the bed because baby it’s cold outside.
