Several waves of thunderstorms rattled through last night meaning that I got the whole bed to myself, since all cats used their super powers to become invisi-cats! The downside was that I had to close the window due to the monsoon rains that accompanied the banging and flashing. I did get some sleep.
When I got up this morning it didn’t surprise me that the wifi wasn’t working and when I went downstairs I made a stop to restart the modem. That usually fixes everything but not this morning.
I turned on the airport utility software and it said “no airport device found” – oh oh. I turned off the airport express (my wireless modem for WIN folks) and turned it back on and it flashed obligingly but didn’t do much else. Unplugged and replugged. Eventually the software showed me this
with the reassuring green dot and name of the network below. Phew. Thought for sure the airport express was a goner.
