My car had a dealer appointment this morning to get its clock problem fixed. It has steadily lost time on the clock since day one and I’ve asked about it regularly. The answer was always “we don’t have a fix for that yet” until this past time. Then I was told that the “fix” was to replace the whole display console. Seems extreme for what was probably a capacitor problem but ok. So today I dropped it off and they did their thing at no cost to me.
Meanwhile, Mom came and got me at the dealership and I went to their house to do fun stuff like update their iMac’s operating system, update some software and cook dinner. We enjoyed a lovely dinner of boneless lamb, parsnips and carrots with strawberries for dessert. Now my brain won’t be wondering what is going on with that iMac because of it being the older OS (what’s the screen look like again?) and as a bonus, they’ll be able to do iMessaging on the iMac. That’s kind of cool because many of the rest of us have iPhones now.
Anyway, I took advantage of having made a bootable flashdrive with the OS installer which made the whole thing take about 20 minutes start to finish. Small geek moment there.
Now I’m home and better buckle down and figure out today’s NaPoWriMo prompts and get on the ball!
