The world of early April is full of birds
the chickadees and juncoes of winter
the waves of robins and geese
the returning eagles and hawks.
This morning sat by the side of the road
gripping a thick low and leafless bough
was a raven. A first for me to see
though i’ve heard them hammer the woods.
The mall lot, on the other hand,
often full of gulls or cheeky crows
was being patrolled by two plover
back and forth as though pushed by waves.
I rolled the window down to admire them
and took a photo as well as the air.

The Quote Box
It seems to me there’s so much more to the world than the average eye is allowed to see. I believe, if you look hard, there are more wonders in this universe than you could ever have dreamt of.
