Short (story) trip and the universe speaks…

Well, I had hoped to surprise the inestimable Mrs Burns, but she kept her tuckered-out self at home tonight leaving me to enjoy these short stories by myself.

  • A Telephone Call by Dorothy Parker (PUHLEASE let him call…God, please…)
  • Smoke by Michael Chabon
  • Music for Lovers by David Sedaris
  • A Bullet in the Brain by Tobias Wolff

A good time was had by all, start to finish.

I think it must be a sign from the universe that twice in two days Siri has chosen Josefina’s Waltz, the music which plays big and important for my novel’s two main characters. Makes me cry each and every time with love and joy and being on the brink of new.

Below, a live capture of it (first half of a medley here), go here and get it from iTunes or here on Amazon.
