Tomorrow afternoon – new washer arrives. Hopefully the whole thing will be uneventful and then I have some stuff I need washed. I did get in a load of clothes not that long ago but I have other stuff including some fabric that needs washing. So I’ll be the one happy after the fellow from Rensselaer Appliance departs tomorrow.
Tonight there was some surprising amount of snow falling and blowing around and I was pooped, having started the day quite early. I decided to head home but what to eat, what to eat? I needed a break from pasta bolognese, as much as I like it.
So here’s what made me happy tonight:
a clump of broccoli cut up into nice-to-eat size
a quarter or so of a medium onion cut into chunky pieces
a couple cloves garlic sliced fine.
EV olive oil
sauted the above in the oil in a hot pan and threw in
a handful of grape tomatoes cut in half
added a good handful of grated parm cheese
some generous amount of black pepper
and in a crazy moment, cracked an egg into it.
Oh my yes.
In other news, I’m hot on the trail of a much reported Álfaskólinn or Elf School* in Iceland. There are lots of reports on it but no links I can find to the school itself. What’s up with that?
* School about the study of elves, not a school for elves to attend. Just to be clear on the whole thing.
