Dear questionably neighbors

I find it difficult to believe that so many of you have to drive your not-small-children to the corner bus stop each and every day to await the school bus. We’re talking two or three cars at two different places, what, a hundred yards apart? How far do you live from these pick up places that your kids aren’t able to get their on their own OR wait there on their own?

No. Instead, you insist on driving them some short distance, sitting in your individual cars with the engines running until the bus arrives.

Here’s the real reason for writing: I wouldn’t know this if you didn’t also leave your headlights on, pointing directly into my bedroom window and at my head. If I wake up again tomorrow… well.

I really find it incredible that you can’t at least carpool or… sit in the dark for a few minutes. (Don’t make me give the walking to school in the snowstorm, uphill in both directions speech…)

On the other hand, one of your not-small children was out of the car for some reason this morning and stepped into the road in front of my work-bound car this morning, so perhaps they’re not quite ready for prime time things like waiting at a freaking bus stop.

Sincerely,

your neighbor who is tired of waking up to your headlights.
