How many quilts have I made with plain black backs? Quite a few. And why? Because I just love seeing the quilting. Love to see it come up as the quilting progresses. Love to see the different colors as I use different colors on the top. Where the front blends and smudges under the quilting, the plain back gets more complicated. Yeah, that’s why.
