I pulled out the weeds
Plants that work so hard to live.
Just not wanted there.
Thunder crashed nearby
one cat was invisible
almost instantly.
I took the pieces
arranged them and rearranged
now ready to sew.
the rain sounds outside
some cricket and frog sounds too
the wind stirs it up.
Tomorrow I’ll start
sewing up all the pieces
making a new quilt.
