Was glad to sleep in a little this morning. I could have gotten up, done stuff, done grocery shopping, etc etc etc but a couple hours of sleep felt good.
I finally put my foot down on myself after fortification with coffee and went up to the sewing room. Hooked up the mighty MacBook Pro to the speakers and listened to the end of Ironside: A Modern Faery’s Tale by Holly Black. It was all right, with a few twists and turns at the end. I was listening with half an ear to hear how much descriptive stuff there was and truth is, I heard little. Unfortunately what I did hear were some rather trite phrases. Stuff like that makes me feel nervous about my own writing LOL but at least I can be aware of it.
While listening to all those words I finished 65 small squares and started the rest which turned out to be 95 of them. I had to cut a few more small strip choices in order to make the mix better. Now I’m off to sew phase two of the piecing of them. It goes pretty quickly once I get it going.
