What happens in the middle of the night

I wake up in the middle of the night (not a common thing thankfully) and my brain is racing (also not common) and what is it racing with? Haiku!

Was I dreaming about writing haiku? Haiku sprints? Literally every sentence I had in my brain was either 5 or 7 syllables. So completely bizarre.

I tried to roll over and go back to sleep and it just didn’t work. My eyes were wide open and my brain was leaking haiku. So I did what anyone fresh out of NaPoWriMo would do – I woke up my iPhone and the notes app and got them out of my head onto the screen and then I posted them to my blog which spammed them to the rest of the internet.

So apparently NaPoWriMo should come with a warning sticker that it may be addictive and should be tapered off, possibly under supervision.

In other news, I’m rather tired.

I’d would say a case of a brain in overdrive. Some brains have action and some brains rest most of the time. Yours is always ready to think about something and use it wisely.
PS A warning sticker would help from NAPoWriMo.
