I think it’s come to either: do it the hard way or move on.
Of the two designs my eye keeps getting drawn to, one is barely easier but requires starting over, pretty much while the other seems to have no trick ways about it and requires just a lot of piecing.
The latter is a dream-of-mine-to-make-some-day but I don’t really have a whole image of it in mind yet. The other one I “see” the whole thing but not how the details play out.

Meanwhile the epic haiku and daily poem are actually helping nudge the NaNoWriMo thing ahead a bit, if only by making me want to glob time (that I don’t really have) on it.
Funniest thing of the week: someone suggested I should go back to gaming just so I could play some WIN-only game I’ve never heard of. OK then.
