Here we sit on the tail end of March, seeing April come down the road. That means it must be time to think about National Poetry Month!
Last year’s was pretty exciting stuff. Maybe more for me, but hopefully not too bad for you, gentle readers. Since then I did NaNoWriMo and really enjoyed the daily writing thing. Last year my declaration for the month was to post at least a poem that I’d written, every day for the month. There were a few days that it was tough but I did post at least a haiku or two.
This year I’ve been trying to think about what to do. I think I’ll stick with the idea of posting a daily something or other. I have a couple ideas for overall themes. I played with the idea of an epic saga in haiku form but that passed (aren’t you glad??).
Even if you don’t write something every day, maybe you’ll read some poetry, try something new, recite something.
