We interrupt World Poetry Day…

…for a brief quilting announcement. I poked around at fabric for a good part of the day. I compared strips and squares on hand to the pile of brown fabric that I ironed. Most of what I’d ironed I had some stuff pre-cut. No problem with that. I really wanted to start laying that out but ha! that’s a little hard to do when the center portion has to be made first.

That led me to the next crisis. I really had started down one road of pre-building fabric of a gazillion small strips to cut squares out of. Nasty work and not really the result I wanted. I had early on thought about doing the squares on a foundation but that seemed like a LOT of bulk for such small pieces. I suppose it’s possible to use a tear away material (there’d be a LOT of tearing…). We’ll see.

So I sat down and had a little blank spot of not having a clue. Never a good thing.

Tonight after dinner I picked up my box of bright green squares and the pile of little strips and I’m doing some test piecing. That’s all I can do I guess. Sometimes the image is clearer than others, and sometimes there’s a gap between what it looks like in your head and how you can make that happen.

Well, not going to worry about it at the moment until the test pieces are done.
