From the mailbox

I found a big white magazine-size envelope in my mailbox this morning. I saved it til lunchtime, thinking it was going to be the premiere issue of Fiber Art Now (which I understand is in the about to arrive phase of being).

When I finally opened it up – it was the November/December 2011 issue of Machine Quilting Unlimited.

What? I was SO confused. I sort of flipped through it. I shook it out looking for a note. I looked in the envelope. Nothing. So confused…

I mentioned my confusion to a co-worker later as he was trying to eat his lunch and I kept chattering at him LOL. I flipped again through the magazine as I explained this was totally devoted to people who machine quilt. Wait….

Flip flip flip back.

Wait, that’s MY quilt – two pictures of my quilt – big and detail – my quilt 36, in a nice article about machine quilted quilts from the Sacred Threads show! Holy cow! I thanked my co-worker for eliminating my confusion and he shrugged it off humbly.

So thanks Sacred Threads organizers, author Kit Robinson and all for a great surprise.
