Not quite a stay-cation

I took myself over to North Adams this morning for a little fabric therapy. It’s not like I really need fabric. I just think that sometimes you need to sprinkle a little fabric into the mix to make things all new and sparkly and interesting. Hmmm. Maybe I should go with – I like to keep some current fabric in my work so that future historians will have an easier time dating it. (like I don’t sign and date my quilts, LOL)

In any case it was a lovely drive, the store had other customers in it. There was massive road construction going on just about over our heads but it didn’t seem to matter to anyone in pursuit of fabric.

Let me just say that despite all the brownish fabric in the world, there is very little dark brown fabric that doesn’t have some weird white or other bright color pattern going on. Apparently not my day for dark brown fabrics. The first dark brown fabric I had in hand, that I really really liked turned out to be purple. Really purple. oops.

Anyway I did my thing, enjoyed the countryside and the huge wind turbines by Jiminy Peak, had a nice lunch at Moonlight Diner and am ready to do something else now.

That sounds like a good adventure. Brown really brown can be a problem. You will find some. Or maybe some fabric fairy will find some. Who knows. Glad you had a nice day. We did our things.
