Righto, no day five (it happens occasionally, that a poem is a bit too personal in the moment and I’m not quite ready to share it) but here we are with day six and an optional NaPoWriMo prompt “In your poem today, try writing with a breezy, conversational tone, while including at least one thing that could only happen in a dream.” Not sure I squeezed in any dreams but just know this is related to Day 5.
taking off my black power dress
thinking – I need more of this and
a whole lot less of that other
and don’t we all? we are tired.
the news cycles come around fast
the edges start to blur – truth, lies,
hardly time to react or sleep
let alone sort it all out, right?
The AI movie slop does try
to offer entertainment but
reality can’t fool us now
know what I mean? – I’m trying to
do whatever I can, today.
