May I quote you?

I went to visit Nancy this morning, who had graciously invited me over to fondle silk and maybe take some home with me. What? You thought I might turn down an offer like that? Thanks to google maps and iphone for getting me there and to Nancy for spending some nice time fondling and folding and sorting fabric. She was even nice enough to help carry my two quilts out to the car so I could carry the box of lovely silk! She did get to keep some for her own projects. Just in case you thought I took it all, LOL. Thanks Nancy! Hope I helped clear your decks and make room for more.

Came home and decided to take a few minutes copying some recently found quotes into the quote box you see to the right of this. Went through previous posts and a couple emails and was almost to the end of it when suddenly – black screen, followed by small black kitten scurrying away from the surge strip… bad kitty for flipping the switch! Good mac though for having all but the last pasted quote. phew!

Then I was curious as to how many quotes this had grown to. Finally figured out a way to count the separating returns and the answer was: 1523!

Sounds like the number of pieces in a quilt so I’m gonna get up there and start sewing. I have a few days off from work, timed perfectly to go with a new round of drugs to beat down this respiratory thing. Took the first prednisone this morning and I’m seeing a bit of twitchiness in my hands. Luckily machine sewing doesn’t care about that.

Also, I’m past the one stack of squares that got dropped and scrambled and there were only a couple things I had to move around on the fly to keep same from touching same fabric. So not so bad.
