Bright sunny day but you can rationalize a sweater.

above a chill wind
The air is full of song
so much green waiting.

such an excuse
to sit in the sun and paint
wearing a sweater.

many years ago
this garden was dug so deep
for these daffodils

Thank you past self
for toiling in the autumn
planting many bulbs.

Someday, someone will
wonder who planted all these
flowers, long ago.
